Strawberries & Yogurt Protein Snack
I was taught this recipe by Colleen from More Than Macros Nutrition back in 2020 when she worked with me to help track my macros—and it’s been a favorite go-to snack of mine ever since!
I love it because it fills me up for hours and gives me a great afternoon pick-me-up—especially on those tired days when I’d usually be tempted to make another mochalatte. This is a much healthier alternative and helps me stay on track with my protein goals for the day. And the best part? It’s so simple to throw together.
A Seasonal Favorite
Strawberries aren’t always cheap (especially in the winter), and they never taste as good out of season. So I’ve been extra excited to enjoy this snack lately now that it’s strawberry season.
A quick storage tip: I like to wash my strawberries when I get home and store them in a glass container lined with a paper towel. It keeps them fresh longer—though honestly, I eat them daily, so they rarely stick around long!
Ingredient Notes
I use Fage nonfat Greek yogurt (170g = 1 serving).
Colleen originally used peanut butter or even PB powder to keep the fat content low, but since we have a peanut allergy in our house, I go with Barney Bare Smooth Almond Butter instead.
You can also add or swap in granola, but if you're tracking macros, just be aware it’ll bump up the carbs and fat.
One More Tip
A friend tried this with frozen strawberries and said it didn’t turn out great—so I definitely recommend sticking with fresh berries for this recipe.
